Up until now Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) has made a name for himself adapting previous works but March 25th 2011 he’ll bring his over-the-top imaginative style to his first original feature Sucker Punch. The film, an epic action-fantasy piece, follows Baby Doll (Emily Browning) as she attempts to escape from a mental hospital before being lobotomised to hide the secrets of her abusive father. With the help of four fellow inmates she creates a fantasy burlesque world to represent her actions within the hospital.
The trailer which you can see below, thanks to Apple and Trailervision, features some of the challenges they’ll face as they attempt to escape including; zombie Nazi’s, a fire breathing dragon, 20 foot tall Samurai firing Gatling guns and a never ending stream of bad guys.
