With the recent live-action take on Mortal Kombat we showed the other day, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this is old news.
But it’s not.
E3 being just next week, that means it’s time for lots of game trailers, including a new trailer for a Mortal Kombat game that revisits the franchise’s roots in a 2D, violent and bloody glorious combat. The trailer features traditional characters from the series, such as Sub-Zero, Jonny Cage and Mileena, and has thankfully turned its back (apparently) on some of the more loathsome additions to the series, like the 3D cameras (seriously, the next time I try to crouch in a combat game and I end up stepping into the foreground, I’m going to go all fatality on someone’s ass.) But it looks like we might still get (some) weapons and cinematic sequences.
