One of the more interesting games shown off at last year’s E3 was Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction. While the storyline fits into the series of Splinter Cell games so far, putting characters in control of Sam Fisher and his array of spy gadgets, the game engine appears to have been completely overhauled.
The demo was made available last week, but rather than bringing you a review, we thought we’d just show you the full thing and what the game has to offer. We’ve played through and loved it, with its blend of action and espionage elements, some elements calling back to last year’s Batman: Arkham Asylum (which is no bad thing for a game that just pulled in Game Of The Year at the BAFTA Game Awards.) The game’s use of colour and graffiti-like mission statements are especially interesting, but of course, so is shooting people in the head from cover.
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction is due for release on PC and XBox 360 in April 2010.
