It’s not often that we’ll cover music here on BurnAllZombies, but it’s going to be hard for us not to talk about Lady Gaga’s new single (featuring Beyoncé, of course) mostly because of the twisted video to accompany the track.
Promo images for the video have been floating around for a while, but the full nine-minute video includes several guest stars (including Gaga’s own sister, Tyrese Gibson and the band-members of Semi-Precious Weapons), movie props (the Pussy Wagon from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill) and…killer sandwiches.
As Lady Gaga (after a short time in prison) embarks on a revenge-spree with gal-pal Beyoncé, the short film takes on an epic tale of revenge and honey, with more than just a few passing references to exploitation cinema by-way-of Tarantino’s movies and Thelma And Louise. Of course, it’s also an excuse for some…”interesting” costumes and dancing, which you can check in the full video below.
Everything Beyonce does in this video makes me laugh. I hope Alejandro is a direct follow up.
the kids’ll love it..! Beyoncé doesn’t suit that sort of ‘staccato’ dancing imo.
