Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2010

Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2010

The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival is always a highlight of Dublin’s cultural calendar, and this year is looking to be no different. The program was launched this evening, with full details and tickets going on sale at midnight from JDIFF.com.

Amongst the standout movies at this year’s festival, audiences will be treated to screenings of Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island, Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland 3D and some films that maybe you won’t catch in the local omniplex: the Russian and Korean season of films in particular offer such delights as Mother and Hansel & Gretel, a fairy-tale that looks stylistically as impressive as Burton’s own vision. There’ll also be a host of special guests at the screenings, directors and stars alike, many of whom will be answering questions after screenings, including Tilda Swinton, Ciaran Hinds and Kristin Scott Thomas.

There are some trailer below for some of the films we’re especially excited about seeing, , namely Shutter Island, Mother and Hansel & Gretel. And once the calendar flicks over to 29th January, don’t forget to hit JDIFF.com to get your tickets.
